Welcome to Marsh River Cooperative – Brooks’ hub for affordable, high-quality, and locally sourced goods. Established in 2014, our cooperative is a dynamic blend of consumer and producer members dedicated to strengthening the local economy.

Our retail storefront, which opened its doors in August 2014, has created a welcoming space that goes beyond just shopping. Our mission is clear: to foster our local community and economy by offering affordable, high-quality, and locally produced food and goods in a welcoming space that strengthens our community’s social fabric.

We focus on promoting and selling food and other goods produced within a 10-mile radius of the co-op, at an affordable price. This radius serves a low-income, low-access area population and includes approximately 90 agricultural producers. What sets us apart is our commitment to affordability without compromising quality. By focusing on goods within our community’s radius, we not only support local businesses but also ensure that our offerings are accessible to all.
